First Annual Historic Soldiers Weekend
October 30-31, 2004

2004 Encampment

Last year, well over 4000 people took a walk back in history and were treated to living history displays and first person impressions that ranged from the Lenape Indians to the 1st NJ volunteers, from a speech by General Robert E Lee, to a ride in the cockpit of one the Air Victory Museums historic jet fighters. Thanks to the unprecedented support by the Historic City of Burlington's residents, which included many Main Street Burlington volunteers, we were able to roll out the red carpet for the re-enactors and participants and treat them to a fun, exciting time. Special thanks go to Mayor Scocca and the entire City Council, whose members supported this event with their time, their hard work, their donations and their enthusiasm.
